Healing through Therapeutic Massage
My name is Amy and I’m a licensed massage therapist based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. My training began back in 2001, when I graduated from the Myotherapy Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska. After graduation, I pursued my passion and was able to work in many venues offering massage to help expand my knowledge and practice to better understand client's needs. The venues ranged from a chiropractic clinic, a dental spa, owning my own private practice, as well as practicing massage backstage at various concerts. Those experiences have led me to my approach now, which is to provide therapeutic massage to my clients with the vision of total body wellness in mind. In my practice, I incorporate many modalities to make sure the client is receiving the right massage for their body’s needs.
The love for wanting to help others feel their best led me to massage therapy, and I truly believe that the benefits of massage can change a person’s life.
Massage therapy is a holistic approach to wellness that offers a wide range of physical, emotional, and mental benefits. Massage therapy dates back to ancient civilizations in Egypt, China, and Greece to around 2500 BC. The uses for massage were different for each country, however over the years, it has evolved through the influence of these cultures. Those civilizations used massage in many different ways but in Egypt it was used to treat ailments, aid in recovery for the athletes in Greece, and balance the body's energy in Asia. Today, massage therapy is a recognized form of complementary and alternative medicine, with a wide range of techniques and styles. The benefits of a massage session are still the same today as they were back then. When incorporated into a regular routine, the benefits can support overall wellness.
“Amy is brilliant! She listened to my exact needs and worked her magic! I can't wait to go back!”

My Services
Therapeutic Massage
Manual therapy that involves the manipulation of soft tissues of the body, which include the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and the skin, and promote overall well-being. It involves the use of various techniques, including kneading, rolling, pressing to apply gentle or deep pressure to specific areas of the body.
Massage has numerous benefits and can be used to relieve stress and anxiety, reduce muscle tension and pain, improve circulation, enhance athletic performance and recovery, improve the quality of sleep, aid in lymphatic drainage, and promote relaxation, to name a few.
Cupping
This type of therapy uses suction cups to increase blood flow to the muscles and connective tissues. This modality uses the suction force to expand and break open the tiny blood vessels under the skin. It then replenishes the area with a healthier blood flow, which stimulates healing at a cellular level. The cups are left in place for a short period of time or can be moved over the skin to work deeper into the tissues. Both methods can be used in a single appointment alongside other massage modalities. There are some side effects of cupping so be sure to ask any questions or discuss concerns before your session.
Buccal Massage
This type of massage is specifically focused on the facial muscles during a session. While this is the most relaxing massage for a client, it also can provide results of an instant facelift by providing warmth to the muscles and connective tissues. This session works the muscles inside the mouth, which are worked to release built-up tension from stress, clenching or grinding of the teeth. The benefits also go beyond that and are known to reduce headaches, puffiness, and aid in relief of TMJ discomfort.
“Amy was amazing. Helped me with neck shoulder pain and migraine relief.”
Carrie S.
“I had the most amazing 90 minute session with Amy. She focused on all of the areas of concern that I mentioned in addition to the full body massage. I explained the issues I was experiencing and Amy developed a treatment plan that included deep tissue massage, cupping, and stretching. She absolutely worked magic on the extreme tension I was holding on my shoulders and by the end of the session I felt as though I had melted into her table. Her space is cozy and inviting and the warm eye mask was definitely icing on top! I highly recommend getting a session scheduled with Amy! (It's also extremely easy to book & pay online!!)”

Swedish Massage
One of the most common types of massage therapy sessions. The session involves manual therapy that uses long, flowing strokes to the tissues to promote overall well-being. It involves the use of various techniques, including kneading, rolling and tapotement, which is a rhythmic technique like tapping to stimulate the nervous system and increase blood flow.
Lymphatic drainage occurs naturally when your muscles are being manipulated in a massage session. This type of massage is known not only for relaxation but also to move the built-up lymphatic fluid in the system, which can help lower the level of lactic acid in the muscles.
My Space
My space offers a peaceful environment to help my clients feel as comfortable as possible during sessions. From a plush and heated table to a cozy blanket on top, my space was created to make you feel at home.
During the session, I will play calming music and have an inviting scent flowing to promote relaxation. If this is something you may find distracting or would like to opt out of, feel free to mention it at the time of booking.

“I scheduled a long over due appointment for some “me time” for a head and neck massage with Amy! It was one of the best massage experiences I’ve ever had! I was so relaxed and comfortable and she had the heat for a perfect temp! Her technique was like nothing I’ve had before & was the most relaxed I’ve been in a long time! I’ll definitely be back for more!!”
